Carrot named to Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies 2023

We’re proud to announce that Carrot has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for the second year in a row.

This year’s list highlights the businesses at the forefront of their respective industries, paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow. Hundreds of organizations are recognized across 54 sectors and regions, with Carrot featured as one of the 10 most innovative companies in the workplace

As the leading global fertility care platform for women plus people of every age, race, income, sex, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, and geography, Carrot has continued to expand its reach to bring more personalized and inclusive benefits to people around the world. In the last year alone, Carrot has doubled its customer base to more than 800 companies and covers millions of lives.

Additionally, in 2022, Carrot became the first fertility benefits platform to offer comprehensive care for employees throughout their careers with a new line of clinically-validated, age-inclusive fertility benefits for menopause and low testosterone (low T). This support is critical for supporting employees as they age — approximately 40% of men age 45+ experience low testosterone, and an estimated 1.1 billion women worldwide will have experienced menopause by 2025. Without adequate support, employees’ productivity, job satisfaction, and personal lives can be significantly impacted. Testosterone deficiency is seen in about 20% of men overall, and studies show that men with low T have higher rates of other comorbidities such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. Women entering perimenopause or menopause may experience dozens of symptoms over several years, including hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, and mood changes. Barriers to care cause most people to suffer silently, and for those who do seek care, many are never matched with the right education and provider to properly and comprehensively offer symptom relief and other support. As a result, approximately 20% of women between the ages of 45 and 67 consider leaving the workforce altogether.

Carrot customers have the option to add comprehensive support for menopause and low testosterone as part of their fertility benefits package. For Carrot members, that means they have improved access to providers through a specialized network, clinically supervised education, and intimate group support. Members can opt into a personalized Carrot Plan for menopause or low testosterone, receive telehealth access to specialized experts, participate in expert-led group sessions, access Carrot-vetted providers that support menopause and low testosterone, and receive additional resources as they navigate through the hormonal aging process.

Everyone on this list does something completely, uniquely different, yet, they all have one thing in common: innovation,” said Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan.
