Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts are foundational to everything we do at Carrot. DEI is not only core to our mission and our commitment to our members — it’s also critical to how we operate internally as a team. Age diversity and inclusion are an important part of our workplace, which is why we are thrilled to announce we have been recognized as a Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) presented by the Age-Friendly Institute, the nation’s only certification program that identifies companies committed to being the best places to work for employees aged 50+.

The Age-Friendly Institute’s CAFE program is a structured evaluation of employers’ human resource and management policies and practices relative to a known best practices model of organizations recognized for their commitment to retaining and recruiting age 50+ workers on an age-friendly or age-neutral basis. Carrot was certified age-friendly based on the following criteria:

  • Values employees based on proficiency, qualifications, and contributions
  • Maintains policies, practices, and programs supporting people aged 50+
  • Values employee knowledge, maturity, reliability, and productivity
  • Commits to meaningful employment, development opportunities, and competitive pay and benefits for employees 50+

Additionally, we recently announced that we’re furthering our commitment to age inclusivity with the launch of a new line of clinically-validated fertility benefits for employees going through every stage of menopause and low testosterone. With the addition of menopause and low testosterone support, Carrot is now the first fertility benefits provider to offer comprehensive care for employees throughout their entire careers.
