If your employer has partnered with Carrot, you might have heard about Carrot Plans. Getting your Carrot Plan unlocks your Carrot benefit so you can start using your family-forming resources. Carrot Plans are not health insurance plans but personalized, step-by-step guides with actionable recommendations from Carrot Experts. Whether you’re not sure where to start or you’re already in the process of building your family, we’re here for you.

To support you on your journey, we take the time to understand what you need and where you are before creating your personalized Carrot Plan. Carrot Experts consider factors like medical history, age, sex, gender identity, and location to develop a unique plan that best fits your needs.

Carrot Plans aren’t just a checklist — they’re a personalized, flexible resource for you to keep coming back to. Here are a few more reasons you should get your Carrot Plan today.

1. Carrot Plans are personalized.

After you answer a few questions, one of our Carrot Experts will create a personalized step-by-step plan to guide you through your journey. If you’re pursuing parenthood with a partner, you’ll also answer questions about them. The questions are short, easy, and confidential — we just want to better understand where you are on your journey and how we can best support you.

2. You’ll unlock exclusive resources.

Your Carrot Plan unlocks your benefit and allows you to access exclusive resources, including employer-sponsored funds, if provided. Depending on your path and profile, your plan could include virtual chats with medical experts, doctor-approved educational resources, exclusive discounts at top clinics and agencies, holistic support throughout pregnancy, information on how to access medication through Carrot Rx, and more.

3. Carrot Plans are inclusive.

We have plans and resources for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a heterosexual couple interested in vitro fertilization (IVF), a same-sex couple pursuing adoption, or a cis-woman thinking about preserving your eggs: we can create a customized plan to meet your unique needs. This can look like matching you with a BIPOC provider, finding an LGBTQ+-inclusive adoption agency, or understanding the legal implications of using donor-assisted reproduction.

4. Your plan is flexible.

We get that plans change; that’s why Carrot Plans are flexible. If you take a different path a week, a month, or a couple of years after you get your initial Carrot Plan, let us know, and our experts will create a new one for you — it’s that simple.

5. Carrot Plans are free through your Carrot benefit.

Best of all, your Carrot Plan is completely free to you. It’s a part of your Carrot benefit that’s covered by your employer.

Being on a family-forming journey can be complicated and confusing. With guidance from our Carrot Experts and with your personalized Carrot Plan, you’ll feel supported and prepared as you navigate wherever you are on your family-forming journey.
