UK Employment Rights Act & menopause action plans

Menopause in the Workplace: New UK Legal Requirements Explained

The UK Employment Rights Act marks the most significant expansion of worker protections in a generation. For the first time in UK workplace law, menopause support is being embedded into legislation, requiring UK employers with 250+ employees to publish annual menopause action plans as part of broader Equality Action Plans. These menopause policies will be voluntary from 2026, before becoming a legal requirement in 2027.

This hub brings together clear, practical resources to support UK employers as they prepare for the UK Employment Rights Act – helping you to not only meet your legal obligations, but to build a workplace culture where your people feel supported and able to thrive.
