Our Coronavirus Resource Center is available for anyone who has questions about how efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 are impacting the pursuit of parenthood. It is constantly being updated with answers to your questions, links to resources, and the latest guidance from global experts.

All of us are feeling the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We’re settling into a new routine of life indoors, working remotely, homeschooling our children, and physically distancing ourselves from our friends, family, and community. For many, the pursuit of parenthood has been put on hold, adding to the emotional toll world events have taken. Many of us are feeling anxious, and we want you to know that we’re here to support you. During this time of heightened anxiety, it’s important to maintain your physical and mental health. We put together a list of resources that our team is using to take care of ourselves during this challenging time, and we hope you find them useful as well.

Move your body

If you can do so safely, go outside for a brisk walk or a jog. But if that isn’t an option, try these resources to move your body indoors.

  • Barry's Bootcamp offers live 20-minute workouts twice daily on Instagram. Check for streaming times.
  • Peloton is offering new customers the Peloton App free for the next 90 days. The app features yoga, meditation, strength stretching, and bodyweight training you can do at home.
  • Active by PopSugar is a new fitness app with more than 500 free workouts to help people work out at home.
  • Melissa Wood Health features low impact workouts that combine yoga, pilates, strength training, and mediation.
  • Fitbit is offering free premium content, including guided programs and advanced tools.
  • Yoga Girl is offering 30 days of free yoga classes.

Calm your mind

  • Calm, an app for sleep, meditation, and relaxation, is offering free content to support your mental and emotional wellness through this time. The resources are available in six languages.
  • Modern Health is offering a series of free sessions on topics ranging from mindfulness and relaxation, to managing loneliness while physical distancing.
  • Insight Timer has a library of 30,000 free guided meditations.
  • Snapchat rolled out its mental health initiative with features, tools, and resources that makes it easy for users to share factual information about COVID-19. Snapchat will also surface expert content when people search on topics related to mental health, anxiety, depression, and other topics.

Take a break

  • For as long as schools are closed, Audible is offering stories free of charge, including titles across six different languages for toddlers to teens. The website also includes classics for all ages.
  • Google Arts and Culture has partnered with more than 2,500 museums and galleries throughout the world, offering virtual tours of some of the most sought-after collections.
  • Amazon is offering free family shows.
  • Netflix Party lets you watch movies with friends while social distancing.

Support for remote work

  • Discord has temporarily expanded use of GO Live to 50 people at a time. GO Live lets people stream or screen share apps from their computer while others watch on any device. It’s a great collaboration tool for teachers and students, co-workers, as well as a place where groups can meet.
  • InVision, which has a fully remote workforce in 20 counties, has put together a collection of content to foster creativity and help design teams work collaboratively.
  • Free video conferencing service Zoom has a resource page on how to effectively collaborate with remote teams and transition in-person meetings to virtual ones. At Carrot, in addition to using Zoom for our daily meetings, we like Zoom for virtual coffee breaks and lunch gatherings.
  • Cloud collaboration platform Box is offering a free course to help remote workers quickly learn how they can get the most out of Box. The company also hosts free, on-demand education classes.
